GLOBAL PROGRAMS

Research-informed advisory, industry-wide programming, and institutional engagements grounded in cross-cultural IWO psychology.

How BWMG Works with the Industry

BWMG’s global programs translate the institute’s pioneering research into evidence-informed offerings for the music industry and its adjacent sectors. Every engagement is grounded in cross-cultural Industrial, Work, and Organizational (IWO) psychology and designed to address the structural conditions that shape Black women’s professional experiences across the global music ecosystem.

The institute works with music companies, cultural institutions, production teams, foundations, government agencies, and academic institutions. Whether the engagement is a multi-year research commission, a long-term advisory partnership, an industry-wide learning initiative, or a collaboration on a major cultural or multimedia project, BWMG brings a level of scholarly depth and specificity that is unmatched in the field.

Our Programs

Commissioned Research

Original investigations designed and conducted by BWMG for organizations, industry bodies, foundations, and academic institutions seeking evidence on the experiences of Black women in the music industry.

Strategic Advisory

Ongoing, evidence-based counsel for organizations navigating complex structural challenges — from organizational culture transformation to leadership pipeline development to equity-centered policy review.

Industry-wide Initiatives

Cross-sector education and programming that brings professionals together from across the music industry to engage with BWMG’s research, build shared frameworks, and drive collective structural change.

Multimedia Engagements

Institutional collaboration on documentaries, biopics, exhibitions, installations, editorial projects, and cultural campaigns representing Black women’s experiences and contributions in music.

BWMG also welcomes bespoke inquiries for engagements that fall outside these categories. If your organization, institution, or production has a need that requires the institute’s specific expertise, we invite the conversation.
